Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge.

I am always on a hunt for the best small business infographics.
Why? Because viewing visual data is a very, very powerful way to learn a lot about a specific topic in a short time.
In fact, when done well, I believe there is no better way to present information and provide true value in our time-starved world.
That said, the truth is that I love them infographics (I’ve even created some infographics of my own) and, in this week’s post, I want to share some of my favorites with you guys. These infographics all impressed me with their design, focus and most importantly, the valuable information they present.

- The Noob Guide to Online Marketing – the ultimate guide to marketing your business online, this is a great reference!
- How Online Marketing Drives Offline Success – a great guide to using the web to drive traffic to your offline location. Love the case studies!
- The Conversation Prism – a regularly updated guide to social media networks including how folks make use of them.
- Ruder Finn Intent Index (click on “Full Index” link at the bottom of the page) – updated quarterly, this market-research driven chart displays WHY people go online (their intent).
Inbound Marketing
Driving traffic to your site (or to the marketplace where your goods and service are sold) is key to online success. These infographics are chock-full of useful information on how to bring your target customers to you.
- Inbound Marketing vs. Outbound Marketing – while I do not believe that outbound marketing is anywhere near dead, this infographic does a great job explaining the differences between outbound and inbound marketing.
- Understanding the Content Marketing Explosion – a nice summary of what inbound marketing is and how to use it for your business.
- The Periodic Table Of SEO Ranking Factors – a high-level and easy-to-understand infographic that explains all the pieces that make up search engine optimization (SEO).
Website Design
Once you get folks to your site, you need to enable and encourage them to take action. These two infographics (the first from KISSmetrics and the second from Formstack) are great guides for learning how to do both.
Social Media
The social media world is a tough one to navigate. That’s why I love this infographic that tells you the need-to-know facts about each of the top 6 social media sites.
Mobile Marketing
Mobile marketing is here to stay so you better use the two infographics to bone-up on how to use the surge in mobile use to benefit your business.
- The 17 R’s of Savvy Mobile Marketing – this is a great tutorial on the key points of mobile marketing. Make sure to read the expanded points under the infographic.

Selling and Success Tips
