What’s that? You’re not sure how to launch a new website? If so, you are not alone. In fact, the web is full of ambitious sites that never received a measurable bit of traffic.
Why is that? Because, even though those sites were built with passion, hopes and dreams, they did not succeed in attracting their target audience. Yes, the web is not a, “build it and they will come” kind of place. The truth is:
If you want your website to achieve the goals for

- Using multiple channels (e.g. e-mail, social media, press releases, etc.) to promote and market your new website.
- Assuring, right from the start, that your site is set up so that search engines can index and rank your site’s pages.

Yes, the more you put into your site, the more you will get out of it. 🙂
Great stuff Matt! It really helped me!
Super-happy to hear that Tashfeen!
Great tips! We launched a year ago, and had some serious problems.
Do not forget to proof your website! When we first launched, we had some really stupid errors on our site, which were pretty embarrassing. We update super quick, so proofing was kind of an issue. Our favorite service was http://www.proofpuppy.com/, which proofed our website live.
Elise,
Thanks for your kind words and thanks for the heads-up on ProofPuppy! That’s a great little service! 🙂
